Not really following the "finish what you started" content from this blog, but its been a work in progress for a while. The original version of this is a lot more smooth and the typical CG work, but I wanted to see what it looked like with a watercolor layer on top. So this is it.
I still can't really do hair, so I know that looks funky. But overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

ReplyDeleteI am digging the watercolor look too. It's a successful experiment! You should do a bunch of these! The hair does look pretty repetitive, but except for the repetitiveness, I think the hair looks fine :) The nose and the chin could use some more shadows or highlights, but overall it's a fantastic work even if it doesn't fit the theme XD
Can't wait to see more of these!
wowwwww nice work!!! i agree with jin's comments; the left side shadow on the corner of his lips might be a little dark too, but you did an especially nice job around the eyes. :) i totally feel like he's smiling at me X3 good job!
