7. Finish What You Started
I kinda feel like this is cheating because I made the drawing for my art class >_< I have some other drawings I have that I also want to post but it's locked in the art room :P I can post them up some other time... haha XD
I thought about the non-drawing I submitted for the last theme and decided that this would go well with the theme, though I did not have the sci-fi in my mind when I started the drawing. (I wanted to represent this specific state of my mind XD) Think you can guess it?

Its all good. That's not cheating. Art is art right. And it was a work in progress so it fits the theme.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I really like this! The angle of looking down isn't always easy. So bravo. And i like the concept of the hand 'grabbers'(from those stuffed animal machines?) coming out of her head. Makes me think she wants to "grasp" more knowledge or something. Ahaha.
Is this pencil?
YESSSSS it's the claspy thing that you see in the stuffed toy machine XD
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about how sometimes (a lot of times recently) I try to grasp at something and like the machines, it never works XD I wasn't sure if the claws reminded ppl of the toy machine.
It's done on this really frustrating paper (kept peeling off) with charcoal pencils.
whoaaaa cool!!! very interesting concept, and i love how you pulled it off... especially looking down on the subject from a higher angle; that really emphasizes the feeling of the entire piece.
ReplyDeletemust be a frustrating sentiment you're getting across though, about trying to grasp things.. x)
i especially love the detail in the two lower grabber hands. great job!!
