Fairytale + Cat = Little Red Ridinghood Kitty
Sorry this is late. I kept thinking the due date was today. (Last week I thought the due date was tuesday too....^^;; my bad)
I wanted an animated film look to it. Hopefully it sorta turned out like it.
(I also wanted to put a big bad wolf in too...but turned out weird looking.)
Great Theme Jinyu. It was fun

Ooh it's a big kitty!! :D You should draw a baby wolf next to it! I don't know what that'd imply, but it'd be cute XD
ReplyDeleteYou've got the animal anatomy pretty well. I love the movement of the foot; you've made a very believable walking cat.
One thing I would suggest is doing some more detail or shading on the red hood. I see you've started shading it, but it seems a bit unnatural. I'm wondering how it's wrapped around the animal's head.
Oh, and I love the burned out effect in the background. How did you do it?
thank you!yayz for believable walking cat.
ReplyDeleteyeahhh. lol. I still don't know how to color well...so still don't know how to shade :P
and the baby wolf is a great idea.
I was debating to put a kitten w/ a HUGE wolf. but drawing a kitten was too hard for me....
x_X
The burned out effect is actually a texture.
haha nice! I didn't really think about using the cat itself as a stand-in for the main character; cool idea! I really like the way you used textures and the script text in the background, it totally contributes to that old, story book feel :D
ReplyDeleteThe anatomy of the cat looks great too, I definitely think you got that "animated" look. Ooo a kitten with a wolf would have been a cool concept! Too bad that one didn't work out. I agree with Jin about the hood area but I do like the way the cape is hanging off its sides. Great job! :D
